The team in iSend is the account owner, the Owner, and the members they add, with the Manager or User role. All members send from the account's shared credit balance and with its Sender IDs, but each one has their own contact groups, templates and automations. The owner controls everything, from billing to roles. The Manager adds users and sees their own. The User sends and manages their contacts. Team management opens from the Team management menu and is available on the plans that include it, with a member limit per plan.
How to add a member
- In the Team management menu click Add.
- Fill in first name, last name, email and a 10-digit mobile number. As you type, the platform checks whether the email or mobile number already belongs to another account. One email can be a member of one account.
- Choose a role, Manager or User. Only the owner can create Managers.
- Save. The member appears in the list with their role and the date they were added.
When you reach your plan's member limit, adding stops with a message. Deactivated members also count toward the limit. To free up a seat, delete the member you no longer need.
How the member signs in for the first time
The new member does not receive a password automatically. Open their profile from the list and, in the account security section, either set a password yourself and give it to them, or click Send reset email and the member sets their own password from the link they receive. Alternatively, the member clicks "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in page with their email. From then on they sign in to sms.isend.gr just like you and see only what their role allows.
What each role allows
| Capability | Owner | Manager | User |
|---|---|---|---|
| Campaigns, quick send, reports | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Own contact groups, templates, automations | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Add users with the User role | Yes | Yes | No |
| Add users with the Manager role | Yes | No | No |
| Change role, deactivate, delete a member | Yes | No | No |
| Sender IDs, API keys, Google connection, WooCommerce plugin | Yes | No | No |
| Billing, invoices, subscription changes, Viber purchases | Yes | No | No |
In the team list the Manager sees themselves and the users the owner has assigned to them. The assignment is made by the owner, in the team list, in the Manager column of each user with the User role, by selecting the Manager or "No manager". This way a store or a department has its own person in charge, without seeing the rest.
Each member's sending capabilities follow the account's plan. If the plan does not include, for example, Viber, no member has it.
Contacts per member
Contact groups belong to the member who created them. The User sees and uses only their own. The owner, and the Manager for their users, opens a member's groups with the View member's groups option, read-only. To send to them, they copy them to their own account with Copy to me. Likewise, they can copy one of their own groups to another member, for example a store's customer list to its manager. Copying keeps the fields, the values and the status of each contact.
The plan's limits on lists and contacts count all members together. The article on contact groups explains the organization that works best.
Shared credits, separate tracking
Every message, no matter which member sends it, is charged to the account's balance and recorded with the member who sent it. The Team usage page shows messages and SMS and Viber credits per member, and the total. Delivery reports are shared across the account. Members' campaigns are sent with the account's Sender IDs, which only the owner manages, as the article on the Sender ID explains.
Deactivation and deletion
Deactivation closes the member's access and keeps their data. You restore it with one click. Deletion removes the member from the team and transfers their contact groups, contacts, templates, automations, popups and QR codes to the owner, so nothing is lost. A group with a name that already exists in the owner's account gets the label "transferred from member", and a contact with a mobile number the owner already has is merged with the owner's. You cannot delete the owner or yourself.
Frequently asked questions
Are members charged separately?
No. The team is part of the plan, with a member limit per plan, and everyone sends from the same credit balance. There is no per-user charge.
Can a Manager see the owner's campaigns and contacts?
No. Each member, including the Manager, sees their own contact groups and their own campaigns. The Manager additionally sees, read-only, the groups of the users assigned to them. Only the owner sees all members and each one's usage.
My accountant only needs access to the invoices. Which role do I give them?
None of the three fits, because only the owner sees billing and invoices. Download the invoices from the Billing menu and send them, or sign in yourself when they need them.
