What is the GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU 2016/679) is the European regulation governing the collection, storage and processing of personal data. It has applied since 25 May 2018 to every business that processes data of EU citizens.
Our commitment
KONET, as owner of iSend.gr, is committed to full GDPR compliance. We act as Data Processor on your behalf (you being the Data Controller) and apply appropriate technical and organizational measures.
Built-in GDPR tools
The iSend.gr platform includes built-in tools for GDPR compliance:
Subscription confirmation via SMS. The subscriber receives an SMS with a confirmation code before being added to the list.
Logging and storing the consent of every contact. When, how and to what they consented.
Automatic unsubscribe via SMS. The recipient sends STOP and is automatically removed from the list.
A central blacklist of numbers that must never receive messages. Applies to all campaigns.
Subscribe and unsubscribe keywords. The recipient sends an SMS with a keyword to subscribe or unsubscribe.
Mandatory consent checkbox in popups. Age verification (18+) and a link to the Terms of Use.
Export contacts to CSV/Excel at any time. Your data always belongs to you.
Ability to delete contacts, groups and your account. Compliance with the right to erasure.
Technical security measures
- SSL/TLS encryption on every connection
- Token-based authentication (Laravel Sanctum)
- HMAC signing for WooCommerce webhooks
- Rate limiting per endpoint and per IP
- Bot protection (honeypot) on forms
- Data storage in data centers within the EU
- Regular backups and disaster recovery
- Access restricted to authorized personnel
Your obligations as Data Controller
As a user of the platform, you are responsible for:
- Obtaining lawful consent before sending SMS
- Respecting unsubscribe requests (opt-out)
- Keeping contact data accurate and up to date
- Deleting data upon request of data subjects
